SIL International | Martin & Debbi Hosken
Martin and Debbi Hosken are members of Woodley Baptist Church, and have been members of Wycliffe Bible Translators for more than 15 years. They are based in Thailand, and work with SIL International and Payap University serving language communities across Asia.
Martin is a computer consultant specialising in non-Roman script work: enabling any script to correctly display on a computer or phone. He works as part of a team which develops fonts, supporting technologies and relates to the computing industry. Martin’s desire is that technology should not stand in the way of those wishing to write their language with a non-Roman script.
Debbi has administrative and management roles in supporting a growing team of EthnoArts and Orality specialists who work alongside minority language groups/projects to encourage the use of cultural art forms in the church and wider community. She also administrates an EthnoArts training program for the Asia region.
