Preaching series:
“The Church”

The aim of this series is to give us a chance to review and refocus our understanding of what the Bible says about the Church and what being the Church means in the 21st Century. As well as looking at the Biblical teaching for each session we will try to include the practical applications of the theology in our cultural and contemporary situation.

Afternoon Break

When?
Two Thursdays a month at 2.30pm, preceded by a service at 12.15pm and a lunch at 1.15pm.

What do we do?
Bible studies and guest speakers mainly from Christian missions.

What is it for?
The main focus of the group is to provide an opportunity for friendship, fellowship, prayer support and care, in a welcoming environment and a comfortable venue (the church lounge).

One of the meetings each month takes the form of a relevant Bible study. The other meeting in the month takes a different approach - with invited speakers (who deal with a variety of topics); some of them are church members who have a testimony to share. This meeting is preceded by a soup and sweet lunch.

Duration
September to July.

We commence with a meal at a local restaurant in September and enjoy a Christmas party in December.

We aim to be friendly, supportive and to make it enjoyable for all those who come.
