Partnership with our sister church in Hidiselu de Sus, Romania
Our links with our sister church in Romania began in 1991, soon after the revolution. In 1994, in partnership with Spurgeon’s Child Care and ourselves, the church in Hidisel opened a Christian Kindergarten in the village. Many visits both ways havebeen made over the years.
Since Cristi Vidican, who was Pastor at Hidisel until 2024, moved on, the The Church has been without a Pastor. However, Pastor Mihai Cociubei, who has responsibility for a number of Baptist churches in the area, coordinates their programme and Cristi and other local pastors preach and lead communion on a rota basis. The Kindergarten continues to flourish and continues to provide a wonderful opportunity for outreach for the church. Parents and others are invited to church services at Easter, Christmas and the end of the school year. Now that the Kindergarten has received accreditation, they are able to afford two teachers, Cornelia, who looks after the smaller children, and Dana, who teaches the older children. The children follow the state programme and also have Christian teaching.
